వలస జీవులను దోచుకున్న బీజెపి నేత.. ప్రశ్నించినందుకు దాడి
అసలే లాక్ డౌన్ కారణంగా అష్టకష్టాలు పడుతున్న వలస కార్మికులను ఓ బీజేపీ నాయకుడు నిలువుదోపిడీ చేశాడు. పైగా ఈ విషయంపై ప్రశ్నించినందుకు ఓ కార్మికుడిని రక్తం కారేట్టు తీవ్రంగా కొట్టాడు.
గుజరాత్ లోని సూరత్ లో రెండు నెలలుగా చిక్కుకపోయిన ఇతర రాష్ట్రాలకు చెందిన వేలాది మంది వలస కార్మికులు తమ స్వంత ఊర్లకు పోవడానికి చేయని ప్రయత్నం లేదు. ఈ లోపు వలస కార్మికులు తమ స్వంత ఊర్లకు వెళ్ళడానికి ప్రభుత్వం రైళ్ళను నడిపే నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇలాంటి వలస కార్మికులకు సహకరించడం కోసం సూరత్ బీజేపీ శాఖ రాజేష్ వర్మ అనే బీజేపీ నాయకుడికి బాధ్యతలు అప్పజెప్పింది. ఇక ఆయన ఆయన అనుచరులు కలిసి దోపిడికి తెరలేపారు. టిక్కట్లకు డబ్బుల పేరుతో 750 రూపాయల టిక్కట్టుకు ఒక్కొక్కరి దగ్గర 2 వేలు వసూలు చేశారు. అలా 1లక్షా 40 వేల రూపాయలు వసూలు చేశాడు బీజేపీ నాయకుడు రాజేష్ వర్మ. మరో వైపు ప్రభుత్వం వలస కార్మికులు రైళ్ళలో ఫ్రీగానే ప్రయాణించవచ్చని ప్రకటింది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో వాసుదేవ వర్మ అనే వలస కార్మికుడు లింబాయత్ ప్రాంతంలోని రాజేష్ వర్మ కార్యాలయానికి వెళ్ళి డబ్బుల వసూలు విషయంపై రాజేష్ వర్మను ప్రశ్నించాడు. దీంతో ఆగ్రహించిన రాజేష్, అతడి అనుచరులు వాసుదేవను చెక్కలతో, రాళ్లతో నెత్తుర్లు కారేట్టుగా కొట్టారు. అతని తలపగిలి కూలబడిపోయినా వదలకుండా కొట్టారు.
దీనిపై బీజేపీ మీడియా కోఆర్డినేటర్ ప్రశాంత్ వాలాను ప్రశ్నించినప్పుడు రాజేష్ వర్మ అసలు బీజేపీ కార్యకర్తనే కాదు అని అన్నాడు. మరి రాజేష్ వర్మకు బీజేపీ సూరత్ శాఖ తమ లెటర్ హెడ్ పై ఇచ్చిన లేఖను చూపించగా మాట దాటేసి ʹమీరు సూరత్ బీజేపీ అధ్యక్షుడిని అడగండిʹ అని ది క్వింట్ ప్రతినిధితో చెప్పాడు. సూరత్ బీజేపీ నాయకులతో మాట్లాడటానికి ది క్వింట్ ప్రతినిధి ప్రయత్నించగా వాళ్ళెవ్వరూ స్పంధించలేదు. మరో వైపు రాజేష్ వర్మ చేసిన దోపిడిని, మోసాన్ని పోలీసులు ద్రువీకరించారు. ఈ సంఘటనను ధృవీకరిస్తూ సూరత్ ఎసిపి అభిజిత్ పర్మార్ మాట్లాడుతూ:
ʹʹఅనేక మంది వలస కార్మికులు తమ డబ్బును తిరిగి ఇవ్వమని రాజేష్ వర్మను అడిగుతున్న సమయంలోనే పోలీసులు అతని కార్యాలయానికి చేరుకున్నారు. మేము పరిస్థితిని శాంతింపజేసి, వెంటనే జార్ఖండ్‌కు రైలు లేదని వలస కార్మికులకు వివరించాము. కార్మికుల డబ్బును తిరిగి ఇప్పిస్తాము అని కూడా వారికి చెప్పాము. రాజేష్ వర్మను ఇప్పటికే అరెస్టు చేశాము.ʹʹ అని చెప్పారు.

When Rajesh Verma was shown a letter by the BJP Surat branch on his letterhead, he said to a representative of The Quint, "Please ask the Surat BJP president." The Quint representative tried to speak to Surat BJP leaders but none of them responded. Rajesh Verma's robbery and fraud, on the other hand, have been confirmed by the police. Confirming the incident, Surat ACP Abhijit Parmar said:
“Many migrant workers came to his office at the same time Rajesh Verma was asked to return his money. We appeased the situation and immediately explained to the migrant workers that there was no train to Jharkhand. We have also told them that we will refund workers' money. We have already arrested Rajesh Verma. ”
