రోగి కోసం ఓ ముస్లిం డాక్టర్ తెగింపు!

డేంజ‌ర్ సిట్యువేష‌న్ లో ఉన్న కరోనా రోగిని రక్షించే క్రమంలో ఢిల్లీలోని ఎయిమ్స్‌ సీనియర్ డాక్ట‌ర్ తన ప్రాణాన్ని పణంగా పెట్టారు. రోగిని కాపాడే క్రమంలో తన పీపీఈ కిట్టును తొలగించారు. దీంతో ఆయనను 14 రోజుల పాటు క్వారంటైన్‌లో ఉండాలని అధికారులు సూచించారు. ఈ నెల 8న జరిగిన ఈ ఘటన ఆలస్యంగా వెలుగులోకి వచ్చింది. ఆ డాక్ట‌ర్ పేరు జహీద్‌ అబ్దుల్‌ మజీద్‌. జమ్మూ-కశ్మీర్‌లోని అనంత్‌నాగ్‌ జిల్లాలో ఆయన నివ‌శిస్తున్నారు. క‌రోనా సోకిన‌ రోగి అంబులెన్స్‌లో ఎయిమ్స్‌ ట్రామా సెంటర్‌లోని ఐసీయూకు తీసుకెళ్లే బాధ్యతను ఆయనకు అప్పగించారు. అయితే స‌దరు రోగి శ్వాస తీసుకోవడంలో తీవ్ర ఇబ్బంది ప‌డటాన్ని గుర్తించిన మ‌జీద్. అందుకు కార‌ణం శ్వాస కోసం రోగి గొంతులోకి వేసిన గొట్టం పొరపాటున ఊడిపోయినట్లు ఆయన గమనించారు. దాన్ని తిరిగి కావాల్సిన ప్లేసులో పెట్టేందుకు ఈ డాక్ట‌ర్ ప్రయత్నించారు.

అయితే అంబులెన్స్‌ లోపల వెలుతురు సరిగ్గా లేదు. అందునా పీపీఈ కిట్టు, క‌ళ్ల‌జోడు ధ‌రించ‌డం వ‌ల్ల లోప‌ల ఏమి స‌రిగ్గా క‌నిపించ‌డం లేదు. ఆల‌స్యం చేస్తే రోగి చనిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉన్నందువల్ల అతడిని రక్షించడానికి కళ్లద్దాలు, ముఖ కవచాన్ని తొలగించి, అతడికి ట్యూబ్‌ను అమర్చినట్లు తెలిపారు. ఈ క్రమంలో రోగి నుంచి వైరస్‌ అంటుకునే ప్రమాదం ఉన్నప్పటికీ ఆయన ఏ మాత్రం సంకోచించలేదని ఎయిమ్స్‌ రెసిడెంట్ డాక్ట‌ర్స్ అసోసియేష‌న్ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శ్రీనివాస్‌ రాజ్‌కుమార్‌ తెలిపారు. దేశం మొత్తం క‌రోనాతో పోరాడుతోందని, దీనిపై అందరూ సహకరించాలని కోరారు.

AIMS senior doctor in Delhi has risked his life to save a corona patient in Danger Situation. He removed his PPE kit in order to save the patient. The authorities advised him to remain in Quarantine for 14 days. The event, which took place on the 8th of this month, has come to light lately. The doctor's name is Zahid Abdul Majeed. He lives in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. He was handed over to the ICU at the AIIMS Trauma Center in an ambulance for a corona infected patient. Majeed, however, found that the patient had difficulty breathing. He noticed that the tube was inserted into the patient's throat for breathing. The doctor tried to put it back in place.

However, the light inside the ambulance is improper. Therefore, the PPE kit and eyeglasses do not work out what the shortcomings are. He said he had to remove the eyeglasses, face shield and fitted the tube to protect the patient, as the risk of death could be delayed. The general secretary of the AIIMS Resident Doctors Association, Srinivas Rajkumar, said that despite the risk of contracting the virus from the patient, he did not hesitate. The whole country is fighting Corona, and all are urged to cooperate.
