గూడ్స్ రైలు దూసుకెళ్లడంతో 16 మంది వలస కూలీల మృతి

మహారాష్ట్రలోని ఔరంగాబాద్‌లో ఓ గూడ్స్ ట్రైన్‌ దూసుకెళ్లడంతో 16 మంది వలస కూలీలు మరణించారు. "ఇప్పటివరకు 16 మంది కూలీలు మృతి చెందినట్లు గుర్తించాం. మరో ఐదుగురిని ఔరంగాబాద్ హాస్పటల్‌కు తరలించాం" అని సౌత్ సెంట్రల్ రైల్వే సీపీఆర్వో బీబీసీకి తెలిపారు. వాళ్లంతా బహుశా రైలు వస్తున్న సమయంలో పట్టాలపై నిద్రిస్తూ ఉండొచ్చని ఆయన అన్నారు. ఈ ఘటన ఉదయం 5.30 గంటల సమయంలో జరిగింది.

ఈ కార్మికులంతా ఔరంగాబాద్ సమీపంలోని జాల్నాలో ఉన్న ఓ స్టీల్ ఫ్యాక్టరీలో పనిచేసేవారని ఔరంగాబాద్ ఎస్పీ మోక్షద పాటిల్ బీబీసీకి తెలిపారు. "వీళ్లంతా భుసావల్ వైపు వెళ్తున్నారు. భుసావల్ నుంచి వలస కూలీలకు ఓ ప్రత్యేక రైలు అందుబాటులో ఉంటుందని వాళ్లకు ఎవరో చెప్పారు. అందుకే వాళ్లంతా అక్కడకు వెళ్లాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు" అని ఎస్పీ తెలిపారు. ఈ ప్రమాదంలో ఒకరు గాయపడ్డారని, నలుగురు ప్రమాదం నుంచి తృటిలో తప్పించుకున్నారని ఆమె తెలిపారు ఈ కూలీలంతా మధ్య ప్రదేశ్‌కు చెందినవారుగా భావిస్తున్నారు.

ఔరంగాబాద్ సమీపంలోని కర్మాద్ స్టేషన్ సమీపంలో ఈ ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. 16మంది వలస కూలీల మృతిపై ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ విచారం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. "ఔరంగాబాద్ సమీపంలో జరిగిన రైలు ప్రమాదంలో కూలీలు మరణించడం విచారాన్ని కలిగించింది. దీనిపై రైల్వే మంత్రి పీయూష్ గోయల్‌తో మాట్లాడాను. ఆయన ఈ ఘటనపై పూర్తిగా దృష్టిసారించారు. అవసరమైన అన్ని రకాల సహాయాన్ని అందిస్తాం" అని ట్వీట్ చేశారు. రైలు ప్రమాదంలో కూలీలు మరణించడం దురదృష్టకరం అని రక్షణ మంత్రి రాజ్‌నాథ్ సింగ్ అన్నారు. మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు తన సంతాపాన్ని తెలియచేశారు. గాయపడినవారు త్వరగా కోలుకోవాలని కోరుకుంటున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.

కూలీలపై రైలు దూసుకెళ్లిందనే సమాచారం తెలియగానే మాటలు రాలేదని హోంమంత్రి అమిత్ షా అన్నారు. "రైల్వే మంత్రి పీయూష్ గోయల్‌, ఇతర అధికారులు, రైల్వే యంత్రాంగంతో మాట్లాడాను. అన్ని రకాల సహాయం అందించేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నాం. మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు నా సానుభూతి" అని అమిత్ షా ట్వీట్ చేశారు.
