రోజూ పదిహేను గంటల డ్యూటీ. అది కూడా రాజ్‌భవన్‌లో. ఎప్పటికో కానీ విరామం దొరకదు. విధి నిర్వహణలో ఏమాత్రం రాజీపడకుండానే... కరోనా నివారణకు తనవంతు పోరాటం చేస్తున్నది ఈ మహిళా కానిస్టేబుల్‌. వీక్లీ ఆఫ్‌ రోజుల్లో ఆమె ఎన్ని మాస్క్‌లు కుట్టిందో తెలుసా?

హైదరాబాద్‌లోని కాటేదాన్‌కు చెందిన పోలీస్‌ కానిస్టేబుల్‌ అమరేశ్వరి ఒకవైపు విధినిర్వహణలో పాల్గొంటూనే సామాజిక సేవా చేస్తున్నది. తెలంగాణ రాజ్‌భవన్‌లో పనిచేస్తున్న అమరేశ్వరి.. రోజూ తెల్లవారుజామున 3.30 గంటలకే నిద్రలేస్తుంది. తెల్లారేలోపు ఆహారం సిద్ధం చేసుకుంటుంది. ఉదయం 6 గంటలకు... కాటేదాన్‌ నుంచి బయలుదేరి గవర్నర్‌ నివాసానికి చేరుకుంటుంది. డ్యూటీ ముగించుకుని ఇంటికి వెళ్లేసరికి రాత్రి అయిపోతుంది. ఆమె తల్లికి, అమ్మమ్మకు మిషన్‌ కుట్టే అలవాటు ఉంది. కరోనా దెబ్బతో మాస్క్‌ల కొరత తీవ్రంగా ఏర్పడింది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో తన వీక్లీ ఆఫ్‌ రోజుల్లో మాస్క్‌లు కుడుతూ.. వాటిని ప్రజలకు అందిస్తున్నది అమరేశ్వరి. అవికూడా సరిపోకపోవడంతో, ప్రతిరోజూ కనీసం రెండు గంటలు సమయాన్ని మాస్క్‌లు కుట్టేందుకు వినియోగిస్తున్నది. ఇప్పటివరకు దాదాపు 3వేలకు పైగా సిద్ధం చేసింది. ‘ఈ విషయంలో నాకు గవర్నర్‌ తమిళిసై సౌందర్‌ రాజన్‌ స్ఫూర్తి. ఆమె రోజూ వందలాది మంది పేదలకు ఉచిత భోజన సదుపాయం కల్పిస్తున్నారు. డీజీపీ మహేందర్‌రెడ్డి కూడా ప్రజాసేవలో కొనసాగాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. వారి అడుగుజాడల్లోనే నేను మాస్క్‌ల తయారీకి పూనుకున్నాను’ అని చెబుతున్నది అమరేశ్వరి.
