అయ్యో పాపం.. అమ్మ!

ఓ తల్లి తన చిన్నారిని ఎత్తుకొని బోరున ఏడుస్తూ పరిగెడుతున్న దృశ్యం హృదయం ఉన్నవాళ్ళెవరికైనా కన్నీళ్ళు తెప్పిస్తాయి. ఆ తల్లి ఎందుకలా పరిగెడుతోంది ?

బీహార్ రాష్ట్రం జెహనాబాద్ జిల్లా లోని షాహోపూర్ గ్రామానికి చెందిన గీరెజ్ కుమార్ దంపతులకు ఇద్దరు పిల్లలు. ఒక అమ్మాయి,ఒక కొడుకు కొడుకుకు మూడేళ్ళు. కొద్ది రోజులుగా కొడుకు రిషుకి ఆరోగ్యం బాగాలేకపోవడంతో స్థానిక ప్రాథమిక ఆరోగ్య కేంద్రానికి తీసుకెళ్ళారు. అక్కడి డాక్టర్ పిల్లవాడిని పట్నం తీసుకెళ్ళమని చెప్పాడు. అంబులెన్స్ లు లేకపోవడంతో ఓ టెంపో మాట్లాడుకొని జెహానాబాద్ సదర్ ఆస్పత్రికి తీసుకెళ్ళారు. అప్పటికే చిన్నారి ఆరోగ్య పరిస్థితి మరింత క్షీణించింది. కండీషన్ సీరియస్ గా ఉన్నప్పటికీ ఆ పిల్లవాడికి కనీస ట్రీట్మెంట్ చేసే ప్రయత్నం కూడా చేయలేదు డాక్టర్లు. పైగా రిషుని పాట్నా మెడికల్ కాలేజ్ అండ్ హాస్పిటల్ (PMCH)కు తీసుకెళ్ళమని చెప్పారు. అంబులెన్స్ కూడా ఇవ్వలేదు. రిషు తల్లి ఆ పిల్లవాడిని ఎత్తుకొని ఆస్పత్రి ముందు నిలబడ్డ అంబులెన్స్ ల దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి ప్రతి డ్రైవర్ ను బతిమిలాడుకుంది. అయినా ఎవ్వరూకూడా ఆ పిల్లవాడిని పాట్నా తీసుకెళ్ళడానికి ఒప్పుకోలేదు. లాక్ డౌన్ కారణంగా ఇతర వాహనాలేవీ దొరక లేదు. ఇక చివరకు చేసేదేమీలేక ఆ తల్లి ఆ పిల్లవాడిని ఎత్తుకొని దాదాపు 50 కిలోమీటర్లు నడిచి వెళ్ళడానికి సిద్దపడింది. బోరున ఏడుస్తూ పరుగులాంటి నడకతో పిల్లవాడిని మోస్తూ వెళ్ళింది. వెనక అమ్మాయిని ఎత్తుకొని గీరెజ్ కుమార్ పరిగెత్తాడు. కొద్ది దూరం వెళ్ళగానే చిన్నారి రిషి తల్లి ఒడిలోనే ప్రాణాలు వదిలేశాడు.

ʹʹజెహనాబాద్ ఆసుపత్రి ముందు రెండు మూడు అంబులెన్సులు నిలిపి ఉన్నాయి. కాని మమ్మల్ని పాట్నాకు తీసుకెళ్లడానికి ఎవరూ రాలేదు. మేము వారిని చాలా బతిమిలాడాం, సహాయం చేయమని కోరాము కాని ఎవరూ సహాయం చేయలేదు. నా కొడుకు చనిపోయాడుʹʹ అని రిషు తండ్రి గిరిజేష్ కుమార్ అన్నారు. శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం పిల్లవాడి మరణం గురించి తెలుసుకున్న అదనపు జిల్లా మేజిస్ట్రేట్ (ఎడిఎం) ఈ సంఘటనపై దర్యాప్తునకు ఆదేశించినట్లు జెహానాబాద్ జిల్లా మేజిస్ట్రేట్ నవీన్ కుమార్ ది టెలిగ్రాఫ్ పత్రికకు తెలిపారు.

"ఒక ADM, సివిల్ సర్జన్ నిర్వహించిన సంయుక్త దర్యాప్తు నివేదికపై ఆధారపడి కాంట్రాక్టు ఉద్యోగి అయిన హాస్పిటల్ మేనేజర్ సేవలను మేము నిలిపివేసాము. ఈ సంఘటన జరిగినప్పుడు విధుల్లో ఉన్న ఇద్దరు వైద్యులు, నలుగురు నర్సులపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని మేము సిఫార్సు చేసాము.ʹʹ అని నవీన్ శనివారం అన్నారు.

ఈ సంఘటనపై జెహానాబాద్ సదర్ హాస్పిటల్ సూపరింటెండెంట్ విజయ్ కుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ ʹబాలుడిని చివరి దశలో తీసుకువచ్చారు. అతను బతికే అవకాశాలు చాలా తక్కువ. అంబులెన్స్ డ్రైవర్లు వారిని పాట్నాతీసుకెళ్ళడానికి నిరాకరించింది నిజమే. బహుశా బాలుడు బతకడని గ్రహించి తీసుకెళ్ళకపోవచ్చుʹʹ, కరోనావైరస్ పరీక్షల కోసం ఎందుకు నమూనాలను సేకరించలేదు అని అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు సూపరింటెండెంట్.. మేము ఏదైనా చేసే లోపే కుటుంబం మృతదేహాన్ని తీసుకెళ్లిందని అన్నాడు.

ʹʹనా కొడుకుకు దగ్గు, జ్వరం వచ్చింది. వెంటనే అతన్ని ఆక్సిజన్ మీద ఉంచి పాట్నా ఆసుపత్రికి తీసుకెళ్లాలని జెహానాబాద్ సదర్ ఆసుపత్రి వైద్యులు చెప్పారు. కానీ మాకు రెండు గంటలు వేచి చూసినా అంబులెన్స్ రాలేదు ʹʹ అని గిరిజేష్ విలేకరులతో అన్నారు. చనిపోయిన పిల్లవాడిని తీసుకొని గిరిజేశ్ మరియు అతని భార్య తిరిగి జెహనాబాద్ ఆసుపత్రికి వెళ్లి వారి గ్రామానికి తిరిగి వెళ్ళడాడానికి అంబులెన్స్ కావాలని అడిగారు. అప్పుడు కూడా వారికి అంబులెన్స్ లభించలేదు. చివరగా ఆ ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన ఒక సామాజిక కార్యకర్త తన‌ వాహనాన్నివీరికి ఇచ్చి ఊరికి పంపించాడు.

Girez Kumar, a resident of Shahopur village in Jehanabad district of Bihar state, has two children. A girl, a son and a son for three years. After a few days, her son Rishuki was taken to a local primary health center due to poor health. The doctor told the boy to take Patnam. In the absence of ambulances, a tempo spoke and took him to the Sadhan Hospital in Jehanabad. Already the health condition of the child is deteriorating. Doctors have not even made any attempt to treat the child despite the condition being serious. He said that Rishi should be taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). No ambulance was given. Rishu's mother picked up the boy and approached the ambulance parked in front of the hospital and rescued every driver. Yet no one ever agreed to take the child to Patna. No other vehicles were found due to the lockdown. Eventually, the mother picked up the boy and was able to walk about 50 kilometers. Boruna went on crying and carrying a child. Girez Kumar ran behind the girl. After a short distance, Rishi's mother survives in her lap.

Two to three ambulances were parked in front of ʹʹjahanabad hospital. But nobody came to take us to Patna. We asked them to help, but no one helped. My son is dead, ”said Rishu's father Girijesh Kumar. Additional District Magistrate (ADM), aware of the death of the child on Friday evening, has ordered an investigation into the incident, Jehanabad District Magistrate Naveen Kumar told The Telegraph.

"We have discontinued the services of a hospital employee who is a contract employee based on a joint investigation report conducted by an ADM and civil surgeon.

Speaking on the incident, Superintendent of Jehanabad Sadar Hospital Vijay Kumar said that Olabuddi was brought to the final stage. His chances of survival are very low. It is true that ambulance drivers refused to take them. Asked why the samples were not collected for coronavirus tests, the superintendent said, "The family carried the dead body before we did anything."

Aana's son had a cough and fever. Doctors at Jehanabad Sadar Hospital said he was put on oxygen immediately and taken to Patna Hospital. "We waited for two hours but no ambulance arrived," Girijesh told reporters. Girijesh and his wife took the dead child back to Jehanabad Hospital and asked for an ambulance to return to their village. Even then they did not get an ambulance. Finally, a social worker from the area dumped his vehicle and sent it back home.
