రోగుల రక్తమే ఔషధంగా !

కరోనా మహమ్మారి నివారణకు ఇప్పటి వరకు దాని బారిన పడి కోలుకున్న వారి రక్తమే ఔషధంగా పని చేస్తుందని అమెరికా, చైనా శాస్త్రవేత్తలు చెబుతున్నారు. కోలుకున్న వారి రక్తంలోని ప్లాస్మాతో ఈ చికిత్స చేస్తారంట! ఇందుకు అమెరికాకు చెందిన ఫుడ్ అండ్ డ్రగ్స్ అడ్మినిస్ట్రేషన్ సంస్థ ఆమోదం కూడా తెలిపింది. వందేళ్ల కిందటి ఈ విధానం తప్ప ప్రస్తుతానికి వేరే గత్యంతరం లేదని పరిశోధకులు కూడా అభిప్రాయం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. అమెరికాలో ఇప్పటికే ప్లాస్మా సేకరణ మొదలవగా, తొందరలోనే మన దేశంలోనూ ఈ ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభం కానున్నట్లు సమాచారం. యశోద హాస్పిటల్ సీనియర్ జనరల్ ఫిజీషియన్ డాక్టర్ ఎం.వి.రావు కూడా ఈ విధానాన్ని ధృవీకరించేలా చాలా దేశాల్లో ప్లాస్మా ద్వారా క్లిష్ట పరిస్థితుల్లో ఉన్న పేషంట్లకు చికిత్స చేస్తున్నారని తెలిపారు. ఒకసారి వైరస్ సోకి కోలుకున్న వ్యక్తి శరీరంలో ఆ వైరస్ ను ఎదుర్కొనే యాంటీ బాడీస్ ఉండటం వల్ల ఇది సాధ్యపడుతుందని డాక్టర్ పేర్కొన్నారు. దీనికి ఒకే గ్రూప్ రక్తం ఉన్నవారు అవసరమవుతారని, కోలుకున్న వారికి ఎయిడ్స్ లాంటి రోగాలు ఉండకూడదని ఆయన వివరించారు. ఇదే జరిగితే కరోనా మహమ్మారికి విరుగుడు దొరికినట్లే!
