లాక్ డౌన్ ను అపహాస్యం చేసిన బీజేపీ ఎమ్మెల్యే

కరోనావైరస్ వ్యాప్తిపై పోరాడటానికి దేశవ్యాప్తంగా అమలవుతున్న లాక్డౌన్ నిబంధనలను పూర్తిగా ఉల్లంఘిస్తూ కర్ణాటకకు చెందిన ఓ భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్యే శుక్రవారం వందలాది మంది మద్దతుదారులతో కలిసి తన పుట్టినరోజును జరుపుకున్నారని ఎన్డిటివి ఒక వార్తను ఫొటోలతో సహా ప్రసారం చేసింది.

కర్ణాటకలోని తుమకూరు జిల్లాలోని తురువెకెరెకు చెందిన ఎమ్మెల్యే ఎం.జయరామ్ పెద్ద కేకును కట్ చేసి గుబ్బి తాలూకాలోని పిల్లలతో సహా వందలాది గ్రామస్తులకు పంపిణీ చేశారు. వేడుక కోసం నిర్మించిన గట్టిగా ప్యాక్ చేసిన పాండల్‌లో జయరామ్ చేతి తొడుగులు ధరించి కనిపించారు. ఈ వేడుకలో అతిథులకు బిర్యానీ కూడా వడ్డించడం గమనార్హం!

ఈ నేపథ్యంలో జయరామ్‌పై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని రాష్ట్ర కాంగ్రెస్ డిమాండ్ చేసింది. మోదీ సొంత పార్టీ నాయకులే లాక్ డౌన్ "అతిపెద్ద ఉల్లంఘకులు" అని ట్వీట్ చేశారు. "బిజెపి సభ్యులు చట్టానికి పైబడి ఉన్నారా?" అని కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకులు ఈ ట్వీట్లో ఎద్దేవా చేశారు.

A Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Karnataka celebrated his birthday with hundreds of supporters on Friday, in complete violation of the nation-wide lockdown and social distancing measures to fight the coronavirus outbreak, NDTV reported.

M Jayaram, the MLA from Turuvekere in Karnataka’s Tumakuru district, cut a large cake and distributed it to hundreds of villagers, including children, in Gubbi taluk. Jayaram was seen wearing gloves in the tightly packed pandal erected for the celebration. The guests were also served biryani.

The state Congress demanded strict action against Jayaram, and tweeted that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi “preaches social distancing”, his party leaders are its “biggest violators”. “Are BJP members above the law?” the Congress asked.
