ఏపీలో 259 మంది ఖైదీల విడుదల

కారాగారాలపై కరోనా ఎఫెక్ట్‌ పడకుండా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌ జైళ్ల శాఖ జాగ్రత్తలు పాటించింది. దీనిలో భాగంగా ఇప్పటికే 259 మందిని మధ్యంతర బెయిల్‌పై విడుదల చేయగా మిగిలిన వారు భౌతికదూరం పాటించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకున్నారు. విడుదల అయిన వారంతా ప్రభుత్వం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన క్వారంటైన్, సొంత ఇంటి (హౌస్‌ ఐసోలేషన్‌)లో ఉండాలి. నెల రోజుల తర్వాత తిరిగి వారి వారి జైళ్లకు వెళ్లాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇందుకు సంబంధించి జైళ్ల శాఖ డైరెక్టర్‌ జనరల్‌ (డీజీ) మహ్మద్‌ హసన్‌ రేజా అన్ని జైళ్ల అధికారులకు మార్గదర్శకాలు జారీ చేశారు.

తీసుకున్న జాగ్రత్తలు...

► కరోనాను జాతీయ విపత్తుగా కేంద్రం ప్రకటించిన నేపథ్యంలో ఖైదీల రద్దీగా ఉండే జైళ్లలో అధికారులు ముందు జాగ్రత్త చర్యలు చేపట్టారు.  

► ప్రస్తుతం రాష్ట్రంలోని 81 జైళ్లలో 6,930 మంది ఖైదీలున్నారు. వీరికి కరోనా వైరస్‌ సోకకుండా జైలు అధికారులు అవసరమైన ముందస్తు చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. 

► జైలు బ్యారక్‌లలో తక్కువ మందిని ఉంచడం, భోజనం సమయంలో పది మంది చొప్పున అనుమతిస్తున్నారు. బ్యారక్‌ లోపల, జైలు ఆవరణలోను ఖైదీలు భౌతిక దూరం పాటించేలా చూస్తున్నారు. 

► రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని జైళ్లలో ఖైదీలకు అవసరమైన మాస్కులను జైళ్లలోనే తయారు చేస్తున్నారు. ప్రధానంగా విశాఖపట్నం, రాజమహేంద్రవరం, నెల్లూరు, కడప సెంట్రల్‌ జైళ్లతోపాటు విజయవాడ, ఒంగోలు డిస్ట్రిక్ట్‌ జైళ్లలోను మాస్కుల తయారీ చేస్తున్నారు.

జైళ్లలో ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బంది లేదు

రాష్ట్రంలోని జైళ్లలో కరోనా కారణంగా ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బంది లేదు. అవసరమైన అన్ని జాగ్రత్తలు చేపట్టాం. రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నియమించిన హైపవర్‌ కమిటీ సిఫారసులతో ఏడేళ్లలోపు జైలు శిక్ష పడిన వారిని మధ్యంతర బెయిల్‌పై విడుదల చేశాం. మిగిలిన వారికి ఎటువంటి ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకుంటున్నాం. లాక్‌డౌన్‌ అమలులోకి రావడానికి ముందే జైళ్ల శాఖలో ములాఖత్‌ (ఇంటర్వ్యూ)లు రద్దు చేశాం.

The Andhra Pradesh Prisons Department has taken care to avoid corona effect on jails. As part of this, 259 people have already been released on interim bail and the rest have taken steps to maintain physical distance. Precautions taken..

► Authorities have taken precautionary measures in the crowded prisons in the wake of the Corona's declaration of a national disaster.

► Currently there are 6,930 inmates in 81 prisons in the state. Prison officials have taken necessary precautions to prevent the coronavirus infection.

► Keeping fewer people in prison barracks, allowing ten people per meal. Inside the barrack, the prisoners are also seen taking physical distance from the prison premises.

► In all the prisons in the state, masks for inmates are made in the prisons. Masks are being manufactured mainly in the Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Nellore and Kadapa Central Prisons as well as in Vijayawada and Ongole District Prisons.

There is no trouble in prisons

The prisons in the state have no trouble due to corona. Take all necessary precautions. Those who have been jailed for more than seven years have been released on interim bail following the recommendations of the state-appointed HYPER committee. We take care of the rest without any trouble. Mulakhats (Interviews) in the Prisons Department were canceled before the lockdown went into effect.
