చితాభస్మం కోసం వెతుకులాట !

కరోనా మహమ్మారికి పుట్టినిల్లయిన చైనాలోని వుహాన్‌లో వ్యాధి అదుపులోకి రావటంతో ఇప్పడు జనం తమ ఆత్మీయుల సమాధులను వెదికే పనిలో పడ్డారు. కోవిడ్‌-19 బారిన పడి మరణించినవారిని కుటుంబసభ్యులకు అందించకుండానే అధికారులే అంత్యక్రియలు నిర్వహించారు. మరణించినవారి నుంచి వ్యాధి ఇతరులకు సోకే ప్రమాదం ఉండటంతో అధికారులు కఠినంగా వ్యవహరించారు. ప్రజలెవరూ ఇండ్లనుంచి బయటకు వచ్చే పరిస్థితి లేకపోవటంతో ఆత్మీయుల అంత్యక్రియలకు స్మశానానికి కూడా వెళ్లలేక కుటుంబసభ్యులు ఇండ్లలోనే మౌనంగా ఇంతకాలం రోధించారు.

తాజాగా ప్రజల సంచారంపై ఆంక్షలను సడలించటంతో వుహాన్‌లోని స్మశానవాటికల వద్ద కరోనా మృతుల బంధువులు భారీ సంఖ్యలో క్యూ కట్టినట్లు ఆ దేశ మీడియా సంస్థ సయిచిన్‌ తెలిపింది. ఒక స్మశానవాటికవద్ద రెండు రోజుల్లో 2500 మంది మృతులకు సంబంధించిన చితాభస్మాలను వారి బంధువులకు అందజేసినట్లు వెల్లడించింది. మరో చోట 3500 మంది మృతులకు సంబంధించిన వస్తువులను వరుసగా పేర్చిన ఫోటోను కూడా ఆ సంస్థ ప్రచురించింది. 

చాలామంది కుటుంబసభ్యులు తమవారి చివరి జ్ఞాపకాల కోసం రెండుమూడు గంటలు ఎదురుచూడాల్సి వచ్చిందని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తంచేశారు. అయితే కరోనా వల్ల నగరంలో ఎంతమంది మరణించారు. ఎంతమంది చితాభస్మాలను వారి కుటుంబసభ్యులకు అందించేందుకు సిద్ధం చేశారన్న లెక్కలేవీ తమవద్ద లేవని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
