అమ్మ చనిపోయినా..

కరోనా వైరస్ సంక్రమణను నివారించడానికి దేశవ్యాప్తంగా లాక్డౌన్ కొనసాగుతుంది. ఈ అంటువ్యాధిని ఎదుర్కోవడంలో పారిశుధ్య కార్మికులు కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తున్నారు. ఇందుకు నిర్వహిస్తున్న అష్రఫ్ అలీ అనే ఓ కార్మికుడి జీవితంలో జరిగిన సంఘటనే ఉదాహరణ !

అష్రఫ్ అలీ 67 ఏళ్ల తల్లి నూర్ జహాన్ బుధవారం ఉదయం మరణించారు. అయినా అష్రఫ్ అలీ మధ్యాహ్నం తన తల్లి అంత్యక్రియలను పూర్తి చేసి, మళ్లీ రెండు గంటల తరువాత అంటే సాయంత్రం తన పనికి తిరిగి వచ్చాడు. సీనియర్ ఆఫీసర్లు ఈ తెలుసుకొని అతన్ని ఇంటికి కోరినా, అష్రాఫ్ ఇంటి బాధ్యత కంటే.. 'ఈ బాధ్యత చాలా పెద్దది' అని  అధికారులకు చెప్పిన సమాధానం ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితుల్లో ఎంతోమందికి స్ఫుర్తిగా నిలుస్తుంది. అష్రాఫ్ గత కొన్నేళ్లుగా నీటి పనుల విభాగంలో మురుగునీటి వాహనాల బాధ్యతలు నిర్వర్తిస్తున్నాడు. ఈ సందర్బంగా అష్రాఫ్ మాట్లాడుతూ, 'నా తల్లి ప్రపంచం నుండి వెళ్లిపోయింది, ఆమె వెళ్ళిపోయినా దేశం అలాగే ఉంది, ఇప్పుడు దేశాన్ని కాపాడటానికి కృషి చేయడం అవసరం.
