2 నెలలు.. 15 లక్షలు..!

కరోనా కేసుల వృద్ధిరేటులో కాస్త తగ్గుదల కనిపిస్తున్నదంటూ స్వల్ప ఉపశమనం కలిగించిన కేంద్రం.. 24 గంటలు గడువకముందే ఓ బాంబు పేల్చింది. విదేశాల నుంచి గత రెండు నెలల్లో మన దేశంలోకి దాదాపు 15 లక్షల మంది వచ్చారని తెలిపింది. వారిపై సరైన నిఘా లేదని వెల్లడించింది. వెంటనే రాష్ర్టాలు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని, వారిపై నిఘా పెంచాలని సూచించింది. ఈ మేరకు కేంద్ర క్యాబినెట్‌ సెక్రటరీ రాజీవ్‌ గుహా గురువారం అన్ని రాష్ర్టాలు, కేంద్రపాలిత ప్రాంతాల ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శులకు లేఖ రాశారు. ఇమ్మిగ్రేషన్‌ బ్యూరో ఇచ్చిన వివరాలమేరకు జనవరి 18వ తేదీ నుంచి మార్చి 23వ తేదీ మధ్య 15 లక్షల మంది అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రయాణికులు భారత్‌కు వచ్చారని తెలిపారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఆయా రాష్ర్టాల్లో పరిశీలనలో ఉన్న విదేశీ ప్రయాణికుల సంఖ్యకు, అసలు సంఖ్యకు మధ్య వ్యత్యాసం ఉన్నదన్నారు. ఈ 15 లక్షల మంది విమానాల ద్వారా వచ్చినవారు మాత్రమేనని, సముద్రమార్గంలో, అంతర్జాతీయ సరిహద్దుల గుండా వచ్చినవారు అదనమని ప్రభుత్వ వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. 

కొత్త కేసులు

దేశంలో గత 24 గంటల్లో 75 కొత్త కేసులు నమోదైనట్టు కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్యమంత్రిత్వ శాఖ సంయుక్త కార్యదర్శి లవ్‌ అగర్వాల్‌ పేర్కొన్నారు. దీంతో బాధితుల సంఖ్య 724కు పెరిగింది. వైరస్‌ బారినపడి మరొకరు మృతిచెందడంతో.. మరణాల సంఖ్య 17కు చేరింది. బాధితుల్లో 66 మంది కోలుకున్నారని లవ్‌ అగర్వాల్‌ వెల్లడించారు. కరోనావైరస్‌కు ఔషధాన్ని కనుగొనేందుకు ప్రపంచ ఆరోగ్య సంస్థ చేపట్టిన ‘సాలిడారిటీ ట్రయల్‌'లో భారత్‌ త్వరలో పాలుపంచుకోనున్నదని ఐసీఎంఆర్‌ ప్రతినిధి రామన్‌ ఆర్‌ గంగఖేద్కర్‌ తెలిపారు. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా 30 బృందాలు కరోనాకు విరుగుడు కనుగొనేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నాయని చెప్పారు. భారత బృందం సైతం వ్యాక్సిన్‌ తయారీకి కృషి చేస్తున్నదన్నారు. 40వేల వెంటిలేటర్లను కొనుగోలు చేస్తున్నట్టు చెప్పారు. వలస కార్మికులకు, ఇతర రాష్ర్టాలకు చెందిన విద్యార్థులకు, ఉద్యోగులకు వసతి, భోజన సదుపాయాలు కల్పించాలని అన్ని రాష్ర్టాలను కోరామన్నారు. హోటళ్లు, అద్దె నివాసాలు, హాస్టళ్లను తెరిచే ఉంచాలని ఆదేశించామన్నారు.
