వలసజీవుల 'దేవుడు'.. ఈ ‘విలన్’ !

"సోనూ సూద్ భయ్యా. ప్లీజ్ సాయం చేయండి. తూర్పు యూపీలో ఎక్కడికైనా నన్ను చేర్చండి. అక్కడి నుంచి ఇంటికి నడిచి వెళ్లిపోతా?" ప్రముఖ సినీ నటుడు సోనూ సూద్‌కు ట్విటర్‌లో ఓ వ్యక్తి నుంచి వచ్చిన అభ్యర్థన ఇది. ‘‘నడిచి వెళ్లడం ఎందుకు మిత్రమా? నీ నంబర్ పంపించు’’ అని దానికి సోనూ స్పందించారు. గత కొన్ని రోజుల నుంచి సోనూ సూద్‌కు ఇలాంటి అభ్యర్థనలు ఎన్నో వచ్చాయి. ఆయన ఎన్నో సార్లు తిరిగి బదులిచ్చారు కూడా. లాక్‌డౌన్‌ వల్ల స్వస్థలాలకు వెళ్లలేక చిక్కుకుపోయి ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్న వారికి సోనూ సాయం చేశారు. వారి కోసం బస్సులు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ఆహారం, నీళ్లు అందేలా చూశారు.

వెండి తెరపై విలన్‌గా సోనూ చాలా మందికి తెలుసు. కానీ ఆయనను ఇప్పుడు సోషల్ మీడియాలో అందరూ ‘హీరో’ అంటూ పొగుడుతున్నారు. వలస కార్మికులు పడుతున్న ఇబ్బందులు చూస్తూ ఉండలేకపోతున్నానని, వారిని ఇళ్లకు చేర్చేందుకు చేయాల్సిన ప్రయత్నాలన్నీ చేస్తానని సోనూ సూద్ పీటీఐ వార్తా సంస్థతో అన్నారు. కరోనావైరస్ వ్యాప్తిని అరికట్టుందుకు విధించిన లాక్‌డౌన్‌ కారణంగా వేల మంది వలస కార్మికులు దేశంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో చిక్కుకుపోయారు. లాక్‌డౌన్ ప్రకటించిన తర్వాత అన్ని రకాల ప్రజా రవాణా వ్యవస్థలపై నిషేధం అమల్లోకి వచ్చింది. దీంతో చాలా మంది కార్మికులు కాలినడకన తమ స్వస్థలాలకు పయనమయ్యారు. ఇలాంటి క్లిష్ట సమయంలో సోనూ సూద్ కార్మికులకు సాయం చేసేందుకు ముందుకు వచ్చారు. వలస కార్మికులను వారి వారి ఇళ్లకు చేరవేసేందుకు ఉత్తర్‌ప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి ఆయన ప్రత్యేక అనుమతి తీసుకుని అనేక బస్సులను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. అంతకుముందు కర్ణాటకలోనూ ఆయన చాలా మంది కార్మికుల కోసం ఇలాగే బస్సులు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

‘‘రోడ్లపై నడుస్తూ తమ ఊర్లకు వెళ్తున్న కార్మికులను చూస్తుంటే నాకు చాలా బాధ కలుగుతోంది. ఆఖరి కార్మికుడు ఇంటికి చేరే వరకూ నేను ఈ సాయం చేస్తూనే ఉంటా’’ అని సోనూ సూద్ అన్నారు. ఉత్తర్‌ప్రదేశ్, కర్ణాటకతోపాటు బిహార్, ఝార్ఖండ్ లాంటి రాష్ట్రాల్లోనూ కార్మికులు వారి వారి స్వస్థలాలకు చేరేందుకు సోనూ సూద్ సాయపడ్డారు. పంజాబ్‌లోని వైద్యులు, వైద్య సిబ్బంది కోసం 1,500 పీపీఈ కిట్లు కూడా ఆయన దానం చేశారు. ముంబయిలోని తన హోటల్‌ను వైద్య సిబ్బంది కోసం కేటాయించారు. మహారాష్ట్రలోని భివండీ ప్రాంతంలో వేల మంది పేదలకు, కార్మికులకు రంజాన్ మాసంలో భోజనం ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. కార్మికుల బస్సులను కొబ్బరి కాయలు కొడుతూ ఆయన ప్రారంభిస్తున్న వీడియో ఒకటి సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ అయ్యింది. ట్విటర్‌లో, మిగతా సోషల్ మీడియా వేదికల్లో ఆయనపై చాలా మంది ప్రశంసలు కురిపిస్తూ పోస్ట్‌లు పెట్టారు. ఆయన్ను ఓవైపు అభినందిస్తూనే, మరో వైపు నవ్వులు పూయిస్తూ చాలా మీమ్స్ కూడా ప్రచారమయ్యాయి. కరోనావైరస్‌కు వ్యాక్సిన్ వస్తుందో, లేదో తెలియదు గానీ, వలస కార్మికుల కష్టాలకు సోనూ సూద్ వ్యాక్సిన్‌లా పనిచేశారంటూ వ్యాఖ్యలు కనిపించాయి.

సినిమాల్లో ‘విలన్’ అయినా, నిజ జీవితంలో సోనూ సూద్ హీరో అని ట్విటర్‌లో కొందరు పొగిడారు. ప్రస్తుతం కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాల కన్నా, సోనూ సూద్ బాగా పనిచేస్తున్నారని మనీష్ అనే వ్యక్తి అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. ప్రముఖ షెఫ్ వికాస్ ఖన్నా కూడా సోనూ సూద్ చేస్తున్న సాయంపై స్పందించారు. ఆయనకు ధన్యవాదాలు తెలిపారు. సోనూకు గౌరవసూచకంగా ఆయన సొంత ప్రాంతం మోగా (పంజాబ్) పేరును తాను రూపొందించిన ఓ డిష్‌కు పెట్టారు వికాస్.
