అక్కడ వెండి నాణేల వాన కురిసిందట !

ఓ ఇంటి పునాది గోడ కూలిపోవడంతో.. అందులో వెండి నాణేలు బయటపడ్డట్టు చెబుతున్నారు. ఈ నాణేలు బ్రిటీష్ కాలం నాటివి అని అంటున్నారు. అప్పట్లో బొందు అమ్మోరయ్య,ఎల్లమ్మ అనే ధనవంతులైన మత్స్యకార కుటుంబం ఆ ఇంట్లో నివసించేదని.. ఆ సమయంలోనే గోడల్లో వెండి నాణేలు దాచిపెట్టి ఉంటారని అంటున్నారు. అయితే తూర్పుగోదావరి సాగర తీరంలో వెండి నాణేల తుఫాన్ కురిసింది. తుఫాను కారణంగా సముద్ర అలల ఉద్ధృతికి తీరంలో కూలిన ఇంటి గోడల్లో వెండి నాణేలు కురిశాయ్. జనం కాస్తా ఎగబడి వెండి నాణాలు ఏరుకున్నారు. వీటిని పురావస్తు శాఖ ఇప్పుడు వెండి నాణేలు ఎక్కడ లాక్కుపోతారోనని గోప్యంగా దాచేస్తున్నారు. బంగాళాఖాతంలో అల్పపీడనం కారణంగా తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా ఉప్పాడ సముద్రతీరంలో సముద్రం ఉగ్రరూపం దాల్చింది.

అలల తాకిడికి తీర ప్రాంతంలోని గ్రామాల్లో ఇళ్లు కోతకు గురై సముద్రంలో కలిసిపోయాయ్. ఉప్పాడ కొత్తపల్లిలో కాలనీల్లోకి సముద్ర జలాలు ప్రవేశించాయ్. అలల తాకిడికి కొన్ని ఇళ్లు కొట్టుకుపోయాయ్. సుమారు 8 గృహాలు వరకూ నేలకు ఒరిగాయ్. యు.కొత్తపల్లి మండలం కోనపాపపేటలో కూలిన ఇంటి గోడల్లో నుంచి వెండి నాణేలు రాలిపడ్డాయ్. ఓ ఇంటి పునాది గోడ కూలటంతో వెండి నాణేలు బయటకు రాలిపడ్డాయి. ఈ నాణేలు బ్రిటిష్‌ కాలం నాటివిగా తెలుస్తోంది. ఇక ఈ వెండి నాణేల కోసం స్థానిక ప్రజలు తీరంలో వెతుకులాట ప్రారంభించారు.

పెద్ద ఎత్తున కొంతమందికి వెండి నాణేలు లభ్యమైనట్లు స్థానికులు చెబుతున్నారు. మరోవైపు…పూర్వం బొందు అమ్మోరయ్య, ఎల్లమ్మ అనే మత్స్యకార కుటుంబానికి చెందిన వారు ధనవంతులని ప్రచారం కూడా జరుగుతోంది. ఇంటి గోడలో వారు ఈ వెండి నాణేలు దాచిపెట్టారేమో అనే వార్తలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయ్. వందల సంఖ్యలో వెండి నాణేలు స్థానికులకు దొరికాయ్. ఇక…ఈ విషయాన్ని మాత్రం ఈ ప్రాంత వాసులు గోప్యంగా ఉంచుతున్నారు. వెండి నాణేలు దొరికిన విషయం తెలిస్తే పురావస్తు శాఖ అధికారులు తీసుకెళ్ళిపోతారోననే భయంతో స్థానికులు నోరు విప్పడంలేదు.
