లాక్‌డౌన్‌ కొనసాగిస్తూ పోతే ఆకలి చావులు పెరుగుతాయి.. ఇన్ఫోసిస్ మూర్తి

కోవిడ్‌-19 వ్యాప్తిని అడ్డుకోవడానికి విధించిన లాక్‌డౌన్‌ మరికొంత కాలం కొనసాగితే వైరస్‌తో కన్నా ఆకలి కారణంగానే దేశంలో ఎక్కువ మంది చనిపోతారని ఇన్ఫోసిస్‌ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు ఎన్‌.ఆర్‌.నారాయణ మూర్తి హెచ్చరించారు. కరోనాతో కలిసి సాగేందుకు సిద్ధపడాలని, ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉన్నవారు ఉద్యోగాలకు తిరిగొచ్చేలా వీలు కల్పించాలని, ముప్పు ఎక్కువగా పొంచి ఉన్నవారిని మాత్రం రక్షించుకోవాలని ఆయన సూచించారు. బుధవారం జరిగిన ఒక వెబినార్‌లో ఆయన పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలను ఉద్దేశించి ప్రసంగించారు. "భారత్‌లో కరోనా సోకిన వారిలో 0.25-0.5 శాతం మంది మరణించారు. అభివృద్ధి చెందిన దేశాల్లోని కరోనా మరణాల రేటుతో పోలిస్తే ఇది స్వల్పం" అని పేర్కొన్నారు.

వివిధ కారణాల వల్ల భారత్‌లో ఏటా 90 లక్షల మంది చనిపోతుంటారని తెలిపారు. అందులో నాలుగో వంతు మంది కాలుష్యం కాటుకు బలవుతున్నారని చెప్పారు. "గత రెండు నెలల్లో కరోనాతో చోటుచేసుకున్న వెయ్యి మరణాలను వాటితో పోల్చి చూసినప్పుడు ఈ మహమ్మారి మనం ఊహించినంత ఆందోళనకరమైనదేమీ కాదని స్పష్టమవుతుంది" అని అన్నారు. భారత్‌లో 19 కోట్ల మంది అసంఘటిత రంగంలో పనిచేయడమో, స్వయం ఉపాధి పొందడమో చేస్తున్నారని మూర్తి చెప్పారు. లాక్‌డౌన్‌ ఎక్కువకాలం కొనసాగితే వీరిలో చాలా మంది జీవనోపాధిని కోల్పోతారని, ఆకలి చావులు సంభవిస్తాయని హెచ్చరించారు.

దేశంలో కరోనా నిర్ధరణ పరీక్షలు చాలా తక్కువగా జరిగాయని నారాయణ మూర్తి చెప్పారు. ఈ వైరస్‌ను ఎదుర్కొవడానికి టీకా తయారుచేసేందుకు అంతర్జాతీయంగా ప్రయత్నాలు కొనసాగుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు. అయితే ఆ టీకా భారతీయుల జన్యువులకు సరిపోలుతుందా అన్నది ఇంకా తేలలేదన్నారు. వైరస్‌ వ్యాప్తిని అడ్డుకోవడానికి వినూత్న ఆలోచనలు చేయాలని ఔత్సాహిక పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలకు సూచించారు. వేలి నుంచి రక్తం చుక్కను సేకరించి చేసే రోగ నిర్ధరణ పరీక్ష విధానాన్ని చైనా అభివృద్ధి చేసిందని, దాని వల్ల దేశంలో వ్యాధి నిర్ధరణ పరీక్షలు పెరగడానికి వీలు కలిగిందన్నారు. అలాంటి పరీక్షను దేశంలోనే సహేతుక ధరతో అభివృద్ధి చేయడానికి భారత ఔత్సాహిక పారిశ్రామికవేత్తలెవరూ ముందుకు రాలేదని పేర్కొన్నారు.

దేశంలో కరోనా మరణాలు తక్కువగా ఉండటానికి భారతీయుల్లో జన్యుపరమైన అంశాలు, వేడి వాతావరణం లేదా బీసీజీ టీకాలు పొందడం కారణమై ఉండొచ్చని మూర్తి తెలిపారు. దీన్ని నిర్దిష్టంగా తేల్చేందుకు పరిశోధనలు అవసరమని చెప్పారు. వృద్ధులు, ఆరోగ్య సమస్యలు ఉన్నవారు భౌతిక దూరం పాటించేలా, రక్షణాత్మక దుస్తులు ధరించేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలన్నారు. "ఇలాంటి సంక్లిష్ట పరిస్థితుల్లో మనం మారిన పరిస్థితులను గమనించి, అందుకు అనుగుణంగా నడుచుకోవాలి. కరోనా వైరస్‌తో కలిసి సాగేందుకు సిద్ధపడాలి. కరోనా రాకముందు ఏం చేసేవాళ్లమో ఇప్పుడూ అదే చేయడం మొదలుపెట్టాలి. అదే సమయంలో ముప్పు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్న వారిని రక్షించుకోవాలి" అని సూచించారు. పని ప్రదేశంలో ఒక షిఫ్ట్‌కు బదులు మూడు షిఫ్ట్‌లను నిర్వహించాలని, తద్వారా రద్దీ తగ్గుతుందని, భౌతిక దూరాన్ని పాటించడానికి వీలవుతుందన్నారు. మహమ్మారి కారణంగా భారత ఐటీ రంగానికి అవకాశాలు పెరుగుతాయని చెప్పారు. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా కంపెనీలు ఖర్చులు తగ్గించుకొని, టెక్నాలజీపై ఎక్కువ పెట్టుబడులు పెడతాయన్నారు.

They warned that if the lockdown lasts longer, many of them will lose their livelihoods and die of hunger.

Narayana Murthy said corona diagnostic tests were very poor in the country. International efforts are being made to develop a vaccine to combat the virus. However, it is not known whether the vaccine matches the genes of the Indians. Entrepreneurs are advised to take innovative ideas to prevent the spread of the virus. China has developed a system of fingerprinting, which has enabled the country to increase its diagnostic tests. No Indian entrepreneur has come forward to develop such a test at a reasonable cost within the country. Murthy said genetic factors, hot weather or BCG vaccination among Indians may have contributed to the low incidence of corona deaths in the country. He said research was needed to conclude this. The elderly and those with health problems should take measures to maintain physical distance and to wear protective clothing.

"In such complex situations, we need to look at the situation and adapt to it. We must prepare to go along with the corona virus. Instead of one shift in the workplace, three shifts should be performed, thereby reducing congestion and physical distance. He said that the Indian IT industry is likely to increase due to the pandemic. Companies around the world are cutting costs and investing heavily in technology.
