ఇంటికి కిలోమీటర్ దూరంలో వలస కార్మికుడి ఆకలి చావు

ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ లోని ఓ 60ఏళ్ల వలస కార్మికుడు ఆదివారం ఉదయం ఆకలితో చనిపోయాడు. మహారాష్ట్రలో ఇంటికి చేరుకోవాలని మూడు రోజులు ప్రయాణించిన వ్యక్తి.. సరైన ఆహారం దొరక్క ఆకలితో చనిపోయాడని బంధువులు చెబుతున్నారు. కుటుంబ సభ్యులతో కలిసి ఓ ట్రక్ లో విక్రమ్ మహారాష్ట్ర నుంచి గురువారం ఇంటికి చేరుకున్నాడు. 

ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ లోని కన్నౌజ్ జిల్లాకు ఇంటికి రావడానికి 120కిలోమీటర్ల ప్రయాణం చేశఆడు. తెల్లవారుజామున మూడు గంటలకు దిగిన వ్యక్తి సొంతూరు వెళ్లడానికి ఒక కిలోమీటర్ ఉందనగా రోడ్డుపై కుప్పకూలాడు. ముందుగా ఆకలితో చనిపోయినట్లుగా స్థానికులు చెప్పారు. 

గురువారం బయల్దేరిన వారికి శుక్రవారం కూడా ఆహారం దొరకలేదు. కొన్ని బిస్కట్లు నీళ్లు తాగి కడుపునింపుకున్నారు. మరిన్ని వివరాలు తెలియాల్సి ఉందని సీనియర్ జిల్లా అధికారి శైలేశ్ కుమార్ సింగ్ అన్నారు. లక్షల్లో ప్రయాణం మొదలుపెట్టిన వలస కార్మికుల్లో విక్రమ్ ఒకరు. 

లాక్‌డౌన్ కారణంగా ట్రాన్స్‌పోర్టులన్నీ బంద్ అయిపోవడంతో మార్చి నుంచి వలస కార్మికుల కష్టాలు తప్పడం లేదు. కాళ్లను నమ్ముకుని ప్రయాణం సాగిస్తున్న తరుణంలో ఆకలి, రవాణా కొరత సమస్యలతో ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోతున్నారు. యాక్సిడెంట్లలో 31 మంది వలస కార్మికులు చనిపోయారు. 

ఉద్యోగాలు కోల్పోయి రోడ్డుపై నడుస్తూ వెళ్తున్న వలస కార్మికులకు ఆహారం అందించాలని వేసిన పిటిషన్ ను సుప్రీం కోర్టు కొట్టేసింది. ఆకలితో ఉండి ఎవరు నడుచుకుంటూ వెళ్తున్నారో.. మామూలుగా ఎవరు వెళ్తున్నారో తెలుసుకోవడం కష్టమని చెప్పేసింది.

A 60-year-old migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh died of starvation on Sunday morning. Relatives say that a man who traveled for three days to get home in Maharashtra .. died of starvation. Vikram was returning home from Maharashtra on Thursday in a truck with his family.

He traveled 120 km to reach home to Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. The man who landed at three o'clock in the early morning, crashed into the road about a kilometer to go. Locals said they had died of starvation earlier.

Those who went out Thursday did not find food on Friday. Some biscuits drank water. Senior district officer Shailesh Kumar Singh said more details are needed. Vikram was one of the migrant workers who started traveling in lakhs.

Migrant workers have not suffered since March due to the lockdown and the loss of transport. Traveling with their legs fastened, hunger and shortage of life is causing problems. 31 migrant workers died in accidents.

The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition calling for food for migrant workers who are losing their jobs and walking on the road. It is difficult to know who is going hungry and who is walking.
